A high-volume board can be used for learning, but the real appeal lies in using a board with a foil, which is when you experience the sensation of travelling very fast over the water with very little resistance. Although it began a few years ago, it has really taken off since 2020, with the number of participants increasing exponentially. Isla Canela is a fantastic beach for learning, as there are generally no waves and it has extensive areas of shallow water protected by sandbanks. It also benefits from ideal thermal wind conditions: in the morning, a northerly breeze keeps the water fairly flat, whilst in the afternoon the wind shifts to the west, generally stronger, catering for more advanced learners. The only requirement is that you can swim confidently.<\/p>\n<p>We offer a range of course options: group, semi-private and private<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The standard group course lasts 10 hours, spread over 2-hour sessions, and you may be joined by other students practising either wing foil or windsurfing.<\/li>\n<li>Semi-private and private courses last 8 hours, divided into sessions of at least 2 hours, although you can book them by the session and progress from beginner to advanced if you pick it up quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our equipment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The wing brand chosen by our school is F-One, the world leader in specialist equipment designed to help you learn as efficiently as possible.<\/li>\n<li>The board brand we use is from our trusted shaper, Pepe Neyra of Neyra Foils, who customises each of the boards we need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-2271-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"1\" ><div class=\"featured-widget panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-2271-0-0-1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\"><span class=\"widget-title__inline\">COURSE STRUCTURE<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>The course is structured in stages: equipment knowledge and components, navigation theory, courses, manoeuvres, tacking, basic safety rules, and positioning on the board and with the wing. First, there will be a theoretical and practical session on land covering all the above aspects. We teach stretching, warm-ups and breathing techniques before entering the water.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the course will take place in the water and will be divided into two distinct parts, differing in format and price: beginners and advanced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-2271-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div class=\"featured-widget panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-2271-0-0-2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\"><span class=\"widget-title__inline\">LEVELS<\/span><\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>During the beginner\u2019s session, we will use high-volume boards, with an instructor present at all times. The instructor will move around in a rescue boat to offer individual guidance to each student and to assist in retrieving any paddlers who drift off course. Lessons can be taken privately or in semi-private sessions (two students per instructor). To progress to the advanced level, it is essential to know how to sail upwind and manoeuvre confidently with the beginner\u2019s equipment.<\/p>\n<p>In the advanced wing classes, the main difference is that we introduce the foil under the board, which is where the sport really comes into its own. We\u2019ll start our first flights by combining the wing board with the foil and wing. The course mainly involves building up to increasingly longer flights, following the advice of the instructor who will accompany us in a dinghy. We\u2019ll always aim to ensure the lessons are dynamic and fun.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-2271-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-2271-0-1-0\"
