Surfing involves standing on a board and riding a wave. It is a sport that has continued to attract new enthusiasts since its inception, and is now practised by millions of people. This is mainly because it is great fun right from the start, and although it is difficult to reach a high level, enjoyment is guaranteed from day one. Isla Canela is particularly good when easterly winds blow, as it is sheltered by a breakwater and sandbanks, meaning the waves break cleanly and in an orderly fashion, perfect for learning the sport safely.<\/p>\n

The standard course lasts 10 hours, spread over 5 sessions of 2 hours each. Under normal conditions, courses run from Monday to Friday and it is recommended to complete them consecutively; however, as we depend on the waves and tides, the timetable and class days are usually adapted to these factors. We adapt to the client\u2019s needs, whether to shorten or extend the duration. The only requirement is to be over 10 years old and a confident swimmer. During the course, the school will provide all the equipment: board, leash and life jacket.<\/p>\n
